For customers

• How do I find appointments near me? +
  Open NearUNow and see all available appointments within 8 km of your current location. Tap Call or WhatsApp on any slot to contact the business directly and confirm. No account needed.
• Is NearUNow free? +
  Yes. No booking fees, no commission, no in-app payments. You pay the business directly. A business can show you which payment methods it accepts, but NearUNow never handles the money.
• Do I need an account? +
  You do not need one to browse. To request an appointment you give your name and phone number so the business can get back to you — but there is no password and no account to set up. Businesses do register, because they post openings and manage requests.
• What if I can't find what I need? +
  Tap Post what you need and say what you are looking for and when. Businesses nearby see it and can offer you a time. Your post is anonymous — it carries no name and no phone number.
• I requested an appointment. What happens now? +
  It is requested, not booked. The business sees it and either confirms or declines. You will be notified either way, and you can check at any time under My Appointments. NearUNow never confirms an appointment on a business’s behalf.
• Where do I find the address? +
  Some businesses show only their area publicly — for example “Ballybeg, Waterford”. Once the business confirms your appointment, the exact address appears on that appointment in My Appointments.
• Does NearUNow handle payments? +
  No. NearUNow never handles payments, takes commission or processes transactions. You pay the business directly, the same way you always would.

For businesses

• How do I post an available slot? +
  Download NearUNow, create a business profile, then tap Post an opening and choose the service, the day and time, and a price if you want one. It takes seconds, and it is visible to nearby customers straight away.
• How do I handle a request? +
  Requests arrive under Requests, and you get a notification. Tap Confirm or Decline. Confirming tells the customer and puts the appointment in your upcoming list and your Diary. Nothing is booked until you confirm it.
• What is my public NearUNow page? +
  Every business gets a page at nearunow.ie showing who you are, your area and your current openings. You can share the link or the QR code on Instagram, a poster or a window — anyone who scans it sees what you have free right now. You can also choose to show only your area publicly and keep your exact address private.
• What types of businesses use NearUNow? +
  Hair, barbers, nails, beauty, massage, physio, fitness and PT, tattoo and piercing, and more. If you offer appointments and sometimes have cancellations or gaps, NearUNow is for you.
• Is there a commission or fee? +
  No. NearUNow does not charge commission, fees, or any per-appointment costs. Customers contact you directly — NearUNow is simply the discovery layer that fills your empty time.
• How far away can customers see my slot? +
  Customers search within a radius they choose. The default is 8 km, and they can widen it in the app or search a different town entirely.
• Can I see what customers near me need? +
  Yes. People looking nearby shows what customers in your area are asking for. If you have something suitable you can respond with a time, or post an opening with the category already filled in. Customers nearby are notified.
